Herts dealer/indy?

I agree with Don. NEVER go to Pilling in Hemel. I have made the mistake of going back there only today after my last experience several years ago - when I promised never to go back! They've just called me to say my car's not ready - which means I won't be able to pick it up now until next week! They clearly think everyone lives just around the corner from them. They NEVER have any courtesy cars available (makes me wonder if they actually have any at all) and they ALWAYS will find a way of charging for unnecessary work. Customer service is an alien concept to them. If the car wasn't under manufacturer's warranty, I'd go to PW Cars in Farnham Common but that's probably a bit far from Stevenage.

Another vote from me for IVS - I use them for my V70 and they have been great.

Saw your posts , I have just got a new C30 from Marshall's Welwyn, I believe they used to be Pillings, Have a while to go before the first courtesy check at 7.5k.
But as to dealers looking on the map the nearest to North Herts Area are the Welwyn, B'Stortford, Bedford or Cambridge.
On my last car after the first service, i always used an independent as you don't have to use dealers as long as they can prove it is maintained to their specifications, I believe and i stand to be corrected, so in a year i will face the same dillemer again dealer or independent.
Also depends on the dealer rates, some can be exorbitant.

This might be the place I stumbled upon on Thursday, it's at the rear of a Shell garage on the A412 near Croxley station.

Hi Nika - What you found is Darryl Motors, a good Indi specialist.

If you head down towards Croxley Industrial Estate, you will find there is a Volvo dealership just past the Renault dealership.

Do you live in/around Watford?
