When I had the same problem, I used a piece of cardboard to wedge it until I got a replacement.

Guide how to replace here: http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showth...ighlight=guide

It was the first time I have ever pressed it, and got the serious panic on! Don't think I will be pressing it anytime soon and jus for safety I'll be keeping some cardboard in the glove box as well.

Thanks for the guide, the job has been added to the ongoing list haha

I made the mistake of pressing mine on the road as a 'thank you for letting me out' sort of thing (I know, shouldn't do that anyway)

Didn't help when I actually needed to go left and the bloody button still wouldn't turn them off and let my indicators work

Like you, I shall not be pushing it again any time soon

My switch broke when I switched them on during the MOT test and failed because of it! Couldn't believe the timing!

Then the new switch failed again less than a year later and was replaced under warranty. So I got to do the job twice for the price of 1 switch.
