Injector fuel system bleeding?
Does anyone know if I replace an injector pipe, one of the ones between the fuel rail and the injector, will I have to bleed the fuel system after?

Thanks for that, I haven't got the bleeding tool to hand and didn't want to end up stranded!

If it's the 1.6 or 2.0 diesel, a bleeding tool isn't essential.

I guessed that.
Handy to have but not essential for fuel bleeding though so didn't want folk to worry if they didn't have equipment. Bleeding can be done without tools.

Out of interest how do you bleed the 2.0D with no tools?

Have a jar or whatever to collect any spilled fuel.
Pull the return line and crank the engine until fuel comes out (maybe 5-10 seconds). Replace the return line. Job done.

Thanks, I will remember that for the future! The 2.0D is usually a real **** to bleed!

The method I've described is Volvo's own by the way not mine but I like it because it's low tech. The only "tool" Volvo use is a dedicated pipe attachment to catch the fuel with no spills.
