  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Default Draining fuel

Anyone done it before on a saloon?? Quickest and easiest way of draining tank? Any help appreciated

If it's got an electric fuel pump you can disconnect the fuel line at the engine and pipe it into a can.
Or just syphon it out with a bit of tube stuck down the filler in the traditional way.

As Clifford says, the best way on a fuel injected model is to use a battery to jump the in-tank pump and disconnect the fuel line in the engine bay.

On a carbed model you'll have to either siphon the fuel via the filler neck, or if you're scrapping the car whang a hole in the bottom of the tank (with a brass implement ONLY - no sparks!)
