Information
  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.
  • AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net users. Forum owners such as us are finding that AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net are blocking a lot of email generated from forums. This may mean your registration activation and other emails will not get to you, or they may appear in your spam mailbox

Default S60 keys

Which bit contains Ecu chip so the car can be started, The Key or ther fob, I.e if I get a spare key cut will this allow me to get into the car and start it without the remote???

If its like most others I would say its in the plastic fob itself .

It's in the fob. Cutting a spare key will not start the car.

You looking at a good £150 for a new key to be coded to the car.

There are some on Ebay- but unless it comes with the code it can't be programmed by Volvo, and they will charge you for the programming regardless.

with the flip key you can buy the ignition key part separatly, it has the transponder in it and yes that can be coded in to the immobiliser independantly to the fob part and will start the car .
