i had the MTE stage one software upgrade done on my 850 T5 today by Don of Kalmar Union i only got a quick chance to let her loose as the run home was mostly wet but had a dry stretch of quiet country road near my house and yes it feels Very good indeed. good traction, smooth progressive power and very driveable

thankyou VERY much Don, a pleasure dealing with you

Sounds good . Let us know some more details once you have a chance to give it a good test drive - I am interested in going the MTE route myself.

Many thanks,

Jon

i have been reading stuff on differant forums an doing my research off and on for pretty much the whole time i've owned this car (it will be 2 years in january) and from what i could make out the MTE was the one that suited my needs most...i didnt want stupid power delivery or anything extreme.also my car has to be reliable and my otherhalf does drive it from time to time

i am going up to the NEC (for the bike show)in it at the end of the week so hopefully i will have a more indepth report when i get home

i dont drive it EVERYDAY as i have a DRZ400S (suzuki motorbike) for commuting on unless it's real bad weather then i take the T5

I have been very interested (and patient) in hearing differing views on various 'tunes' as well, but I am slowly leaning towards the MTE map for the reasons stated in your post.

Happy driving!

Dear all

I had an MTE remap done about six weeks ago to my 2001 S60 T5 all I can say is it the best money spent.
Thanks to Don
