can a (line lock )be used for a handbrake/ mot???
for my bug,anyone know,its a devise that locks both front wheels when doing track burn outs but im unsure if this can be used 4 a handbrake on my project

i don't think it can tbh with you mate, locking the front wheels as the handbrake is no problem because saab used to do it but i think it has to be a mechanical device were as a line lock is an electric solenoid

Sure a handbrake has to be a separate means of braking the vehicle, as opposed to utilising the existing brake circuit.
Like said before a mechanical means of preventing the vehicle from moving... You can lock a propshaft (landrover, bedford truck) but would imagine that harder to achieve on a bug!

you cant use i line lock cause you have to test brakes independantly

I thought line locks where plumbed into the hydrolic system, also handbrakes have to be a completely seperate mechanical system in order to pass an mot.
