Here is the first glimpse of Volvo Cars' next concept car.The Volvo S60 Concept will be unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show in early January 2009 - and it gives a clear indication of what the all-new Volvo S60 will look like when it is introduced during 2010.

I like the shape.

I don't like the new big badge they're putting on the front. It just looks cheap.

I have to agree with the grille badge - I can see were all the car makers are coming from trying to create a unique branding grille / badge image but I reckon Volvo have it all wrong. It looks very cheap, and to top it off, if it's anything like the XC60 they are tacky as hell with a satin finished silver plastic. As for the spaced out 'V O L V O' logo on the back of the new cars... looks awful too.

I know concepts are only concepts but the curves of the new S60 pictured isn't winning me over!

It's not just on the new models...they've got it on the current S60 too!

The V O L V O thing was done at the same time Ford made their badges bigger on their cars.
It was a rebranding strategy across all brands to raise awareness.

Could be worse though, could be stuck with the Christmas cracker effort Jaguar got. See the front of any X or S type.

I really hope they manage to make it look like that. I'd have one.
