Default Heater fan motor wanted.

Looking for a good used heater fan as mine is getting noisier and starting to smell like hot plastic melting! Been noisy ever since I have had the car 4 years ago but no smells.

Is there a resister pack too like on a 740?

Is this a common problem?

James

Hi James . I replaced mine with one from parts for Volvo . It was about £70.
Yes they smell! Mine got as far as smoke coming into the cabin! Thought it was going on fire. Lol. Sounded like a strangled duck!
You could lubricate yours , but it's gotta come out to do that, so I'd consider a relplacement. Good luck.
