Bonnet and 145 tailgate
I am looking for a good bonnet and tailgate to suit my 1970 145 as the one's I have are far from perfect and I hope to get some bodywork done on the old girl this summer!
I also need them to be somewhere in the South for me to be able to collect them as they are not the sort of things that I would want to trust a courier firm not to damage as they are rather large and heavy panels. Grateful of any info or leads please!

To increase your odds, a 245 (or even 265) tailgate up to 1989 is virtually the same and I am very confident it will fit your car.
As far as I know, all differences except one are components fitted onto the tailgate, which can be swapped... handle, latch, rear screen surround, interior trim, stay-post. The exception is the hole for the lock. On all but the earliest 200s, this is bigger than that for a 145 lock. For ease, you could simply use the 200 lock, or for originality you could weld in a sleeve to reduce the size as I did when I converted 240 doors to fit my 164. John |

Or this is another way to use a 145 lock on a 240 tailgate...

Thanks for that John, although a little far to go and I'm not sure that I would trust a carrier with it!
Fingers crossed I may be sorted now, but next month will tell! If anything else pop's up though, please do let me know!
