Default Xc60 2012 awd d5 Rear Shock failure.215hp R design

One rear shock absorber is leaking thick oil/grease from the bottom of it. It's on a 215hp R design. My shocker design is the ones with rubber lower consetrtenea moulded covers.
1st. question, shall I change the leaky one or both?
2nd. question if I buy new aftermarket shockers as a pair they will have solid plastic lower covers. Is that important?
3rd. question. I ain't going to buy genuine Volvo shockers so which brands are worth buying? Regards
