I suppose it depends on the insurance company, but when my mum's car was written off her insurer (RIAS) offered £1200, I went back to them (with evidence) that the only 3 cars of equivalent spec/condition/mileage for sale within 50 miles were priced at £1900/£2100/£2195 - within 24 hours they had revised their offer to £2100 and transferred the cash over.

They just turn decent hounest people into scammers because sometimes it's the only way you can replace and get justice likewatch I don't like being like that but I will next time and in all hounesty I think they would write a decent 3 year old car off as the market for cat c and cat d repaired cars is huge. Hope you get youres sorted Gary

Think I've got a drivers headlight in the garage.

Has a ballast and black bezel, don't think they're chrome rings though

The glass is also misted up so not sure how much use it is to you.

Thanks mate, I can just order a new pair of bezels and have one spare.

Glass is what I really need, as my spare halogen headlight glass broke when I put a clip on wrong - clipped on to the glass instead of onto the plastic housing.

How much for the complete unit Alex, with postage to DD10 9DH?

I would still need to get an indicator too.

Can't even find my silver ones in the loft!!!!

Gary

I've got quite a few spares now so should be able to find something.

Do you need a ballast too? Got a choice of two lol.

The light is still working - I was surprised. The bulb is still intact and lights up!

Really just the complete unit though, as I don't have time to be messing around with it, if I can help it. Quicker I can get it in to be repaired, the better.

My reflector is still intact, but the rear of the unit has been torn apart, so I don't know what may be knackered behind the reflector.

If you have a black indicator, that would be a life saver too, buddy.

Unhappy

Just had another look and there is a piece missing from the outer edge of the reflector, so yes, a complete unit will be required.

Thanks Alex.

Cheers Kieran. Appreciate the help.

Be as well send it up, mate, as Alex's lens is misty in any case.

I can fix the misty one to the halogen unit.

Offside black indicator would be good if you have it too!

PM me your PayPal details and costs, then I will send you my address.

Gary
