Default Changed rear sway bar link V50

Failed my annual safety check (NZ Warrant of fitness (WOF)) on the V50 due to a split rubber boot on the right rear stabiliser (swaybar) link
In the US replacement parts (non Volvo) are available for as low as US$10, whereas in NZ I had to pay approx USD53
For the record the part numbers are
Volvo 31329966
Mazda equivalent BP4K-28-170H
Ford 1469208
I wanted to get the repair done ASAP so I ended up buying the Mazda part as it was in stock locally.
I got caught out however as the Mazda part was M10 fine thread (1.25mm pitch) and came with no nuts so I could not use the nuts removed from the old part. The part I removed (it looked like the original Volvo part) was M10 coarse thread (1.5mm pitch)
Luckily I have a friend with a comprehensive workshop / machine shop and he had nyloc M10 nuts available in 1, 1,25 and 1.50 thread pitches.
As I'm selling the car soon i only replaced the drivers side link, otherwise I would have replaced them as a pair. Nothing especially tricky in the replacement process as long as you have an allen key and a spanner and a big enough lever to move the swaybar. Jacking the car up from the middle at the back helped with both wheels off the ground and the swaybar unloaded symmetrically.
