As long as prep is thorough, cleaning, keying up etc, then using plastic bonding agent, primer, normal paint will stay, prep is the key...
Did many a plastic trim (amongst other repairs) when i was a smart repair guy at Euro Fleet defleet center in Corby, still retained a little knowledge

Question then. What do you suggest as a bonding agent and then which primer on the ABS used for so many parts these days?

If it's any help, i've used this recently with good results :
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/202948868324 First thing i used in on was the centre cap for the first wheel i've refurbed on my 760 : Used normal primer on the wheel (again Autotek) followed by the normal paint and lacquer. That was 2 years ago and still looks good (and still waiting to do the other 4 wheels! ) with no signs of flaking or anything else.
