Default Wtf is this for??

I’m puzzled with what could the volvo engineers have in mind when they designed this.. hook?.. And there’s two of them- one on each hatch grab handle..

Never realised that was meant to be a hook, looks like a waste of space.
Not literally.

It's a vertical descention arrest device. It's there to defy gravity.

It's a picnic hook

When having a picnic, you hang your food supply bag on a strap looped over the hook.

Prevents the ants from getting into the food.

Those Swedes think of everything!

Its obvious really, if you buy a new fly fishing line you hook it on that hook and unwind it from its spool as you walk backwards then fix the end of the line to your reel backing line and wind it on to the reel as you walk forwards.

How about to tie the boot lid down on a protruding long load. Must confess I have never noticed them looking only towards the close switch. I assume I do have them.

That's Amazing.......,I think,........hang on just tried that, and instead of the line going round the reel,it dragged the car toward me!
Back to the drawing board?

I hadn't realized it was there! However, on thinking about it is it for hooking something on to hold the load deck up when the totally ineffective hydraulic strut can't cope with having an extra feather on it?

My question is what are those little plastic tabs half way up the leading edge of the rear side windows for? Noticed them for the first time a week or so ago. Only had the car 13 months !!
