Garage prep for V90
Hi all,
I'm due to pick my 18 plate V90 R-Design up next week. I've a double garage at home which it will be parked in overnight, however length-wise its a little tight (about a foot longer than the car is). Therefore, I'm planning on fitting some foam pipe insulation across the back wall of the garage just in case. Can anyone advise how high up (from floor level) the most sticky-out bit of a V90 is please? Thanks in advance!

Hi,
The vertical face of the rear bumper is the 'sticky-out' bit on my V90 Inscription, the lowest edge is 15" from ground level and the upper edge is 22" so if you mount your soft protection anywhere between these measurements it will do the job. Paul

Why not place several pieces vertically then you cover a greater height.

I bought a cheap foam mattress and hung it against the back wall of my garage.

I fitted a laser beam across the rear of my garage and can park any length vehicle at my preset distance with millimetre precision

I stuck some foam filled insulation boards on the back wall and the side where the drivers door opens as I use the other half of the garage for stuff. I also have a reference point on the drivers side wall where I align it with a fixed point on the car . Never missed yet so always at the same distance font and back.

Elegant, cheap, peel & stick. Better than resting your bumper against the wall/styrofoam.. |
