Default V90 R Design Gearshift Paddles (New Member)

Hi all,

I am new to the forum!

I have ordered on lease a V90 R Design in Osmium Grey. I have a quick question regarding gearshift paddles. They are not mentioned in the brochure at all but I have noticed in the specification that they are listed as being standard on the R Design. Does anybody know whether they do come as standard?

Thanks,
Jonny

I the price list I picked up last month, the paddles are standard equipment on the R Design. They don't seem to appear as a cost option on other models, but I might not be looking in the right place.

You'll rarely use them, after playing with mine for the sake of it, the only time I ever used them was to hold a low gear downhill.

I have the exact car you have ordered - had it for almost 2 weeks now - the paddles are included as standard, but yes there is no mention in the literature. Congrats you will love it.

Yup, got my S90 R-design at the start of January, paddles all there! I've used them once, they worked, will probably be the last time I touch them but it's a free bonus at least!

Pigglesberg - When do you expect your V90 R-Design to arrive? I have ordered one as well through lease, the deal was amazing, but going for the standard white version

I ordered around 2 weeks ago and was told it will be arriving at the dealer around March 20th and I can take delivery a few days later. I'm on holiday until the 23rd so works out perfectly. I'm in Liverpool but ordered through Stoneacre in Chesterfield.

Thanks to everyone for the paddleshift replies too!

Agree with Jimrod. Used them a couple of times but don’t see the point.

Love the paddles. Use them constantly, on every drive. In every car that have them...

Everyone’s different!

Our XC90 doesn't have the paddles. I regularly shift down using the gearstick, so I suppose
I would use the paddles. But I don't mind using the stick, my right hand is often on it anyway.

Likewise, I constantly use my paddles when driving fast on country roads mainly for a downshift to "slightly" slow the car for bends etc rather than constantly tapping the brakes, etc.
Love them.......but disappointed that they are NOT an option/available in the UK on the new XC60 unless you order a "R-Design" model......
