An excess of XC90s

Four XC90s in close formation this afternoon on the A1 at Ferrybridge. If you were driving the Black D5 R-Design, or the Black T8 Inscription, or the one towing the horse box; hello, I was in the grey one.

Once got a 1 day job delivering a new white Ford Transit van from North London to Liverpool. Turned out there were about 20 such vans and we all set off in convoy up the M1 / M6. The sight of other drivers and their passengers as they passed this convoy had to be seen to be appreciated, children in particular.

They were probably all having kittens, 20 white van men on the same road, how did they survive without a road rage incident. Most of the white van men will have been on there phones as well, which is what everyone was staring at.

It was many,many years ago in the early days of Transits. So long ago that neither mobile phones or white van man existed. After Liverpool we took about a dozen vans, mixed makes, to Bristol and were then bused back to London. A long day which most of us did for the laugh not the money.

If I remember correctly there was an ad running on the TV at the time for pink paraffin using a fleet of white vans. (It wasn't us!)
