Default Intrument cluster Lights

Im stugling to find new lamps for my instrument cluster. i can find the smaller ones for the bottom warning lights but cant find any of the larger ones at the top for lighting up the front of the dials.

ive came across LED ones but dont know if these would work well without any modification.

has anyone used these or know of anywhere i could get replacement originals?

Cheers

I replaced these bulbs a couple of years ago:~
From memory they came from car bulbs direct but I can't seem to find them listed now- Halogen are the type for this application.

LED bulbs I'm not sure about- they tend to be quite long if they would be ok?
This area of lighting in the 240 is very poor, I altered the same to take a strip of
of LED (small solid type, not flexible) and this is positioned inside the unit just just behind the perspex cover as you look at the dials, dimmable type.

It tends to flicker a little when the engine runs but is very bright and once turned down it does settle.
The original light transfer on these is passed through clear plastic strips rear to front etc.
I think Mathews Volvo site also gives some decent advice on this.
Regards Bob.

Pretty easy bud. Remove dash cluster and take a look at the reverse to see how they go in.
