Amazing car-insurance quotes
Recently received my renewal quotation on the V70 - had expected it to be down a bit this year, but it had gone up £30 to £637 - with 9 years protected no claims!
Thought it was high-time to shop around so I used Moneysupermarket.com and got a series of quotes, of which the best was with my existing company LV. Finally settled on £304 - now that's less than half what I was previously paying!! (Maybe next year it will all change, again....)

Yep, that's what you have to do these days - every time you renew. I guess you hadn't done that for a few years?
Not as impressive, but Admiral quoted me £150 less online than their £550 renewal price on the C70, and that after just one year of having the car with them.

This is one of the very few times it pays to be an old fart like me, and pay £180 to insure my S60.

When I renewed my insurance in September, M&S quoted me about £30 more than last year. I went on confused.com and got a load of quotes, one of which was from M&S for about £70 LESS than I paid last year.
Anyway, I rang them to try and get some sort of discount - I even said to the girl I spoke to that I didn't expect to get the same price as a new customer - she came back with a price that was £20 LESS than the confused.com price! One phone call, £90 saved and didn't even need to switch insurers - that's what I call a result!!! |

Currently I pay £488 for the S60, fully comp with 10 years protected no claims and business use for myself (being self employed) and the wife (district nurse). Just out of curiosity I ran a quote for same car with same use but at my old address in the Isle of Man, £107. Why oh why did we return to this country..... |
