Default V90 Questions

Just bought a lovely 2017 V90 Inscription AWD. Just wading through the handbook but can't find the answers to a couple of questions. Hopefully a kind soul will enlighten me!

First question is how do I turn off the alarm movement sensor. When I leave my dog in the car I don't want him setting off the alarm. The handbook says that there is a button on the central display (there isn't) or I can go into mycar etc and it will be there. Again, it isn't.

Second question is how to turn off the traction control. I sometimes go across muddy fields or in deep snow (I live in France) and it was useful on my XC90 to do this.

Thanks for any help.

You should find the answers here.
The Volvo support site is better than wading through the handbook sometimes.

Hi,

Great news on your car, hope you like ut

The alarm, on the center touchscreen, swipe right and tgere shoukd be an icon called reduced guard. I think tgat may be it.

And traction control, on the same screen I think there is an icon starting with ESC? Or something similar.

Turning that on might disable traction control - I think.

Good luck

So in the end the V90 won you over… 😀
Great choice and fun with it!

Thanks for the answers, have found the ECS icon so that's ok but there is nothing about reduced guard. I've also been on to the screen that is titled "locking and alarm functions" but that's only door locking options, nothing about alarm. Anyone got any other suggestions?

Did you try scrolling the Sensus screen up to find "reduced guard" tab, when on the safety features screen. It may be lower down the screen, (you can move the icon tabs by keeping your finger pressed on the icon and moving them to a position more convenient) the same way you would on the phone or other devices.

Yeah, enjoying it so far! Big change from the analogue xc90 to the digital V90

Tried all the above but the reduced guard icon isn't there.I'm at a loss. Don't really want to go to the local stealer as I'm taking legal action against them for wrecking my XC90 and I don't think they will be very helpful.

Thanks but I haven't got reduced guard or private locking icons!
