Air Conditioning Drain Hose Location
I REALLY wanna find this hose! I've seen this video for a left hand drive XC70:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=G_s2JbCdtV0BUT I can't find an equivalent hose on either side of my 2011 V70 |

Remove the trim as shown in the video, go under the vehicle and have someone blow air into the disconnected fitting.
One post on another AC drain thread mentioned that the heat shield can get pressed/bent medially (towards the central tunnel) and pinch the drain hose. It can also shield it from view. |

Drain it of what? It's a sealed system.

Water . . . warm air contains moisture which is condensed when said air is being cooled by the A/C. This water needs to go somewhere which means out on to the ground. On a hot day there's usually a puddle of water underneath a parked car that has an A/C system.

Thanks for the posts! Last time I removed the trim and pulled the carpet to the side I wasn't able to find the drainage point. Fingers crossed I find it this time and ensure it's all blockage-free.

Couldn't you just have ran the air conditioning and seen if there was any water dropping from underneath the car like there normally would be if the hose wasn't blocked?
Seems like a bit of a faff to dismantle all that to find out it wasn't blocked anyway.

It's only a faff if you don't like tinkering, and I LOVE to tinker!
It also gave me a chance to do a bit of cleaning, it seems the previous owner lived permanently at the beach. |
