Smile Goodbye 940, hello V70.

Hi to you all, newbie here!

Having sold my 940 a few months ago, and the kids not talking to me for a while I went out on the search for a V70. Looked at loads as my wife wanted black leather and blue or silver paint, gave up trying to find a blue one, and found a silver one on Ebay. Normally my limit on Ebay is stuff around £20-£30 so buying a car was a bit of a tense moment!

Ended up with a Silver "03 V70 140 bhp auto SE. Its got some nice bits like a drivers memory seat, 7 seat conversion, SamrtNav and a DVD player for the kids. With 38K on the clock and a few months warranty left it seemed a safe bet...£11400..too much...about right? My limit was going to be 11K but the old Ebay trap of "just more bid" took over.

Couple of questions for those in the know...

It's not fitted with heated seats (which the 940 had). Is it much of a job to retro fit?

Secondly as I've got a few months before its 3rd birthday is there anything I should check for before the warranty runs out. I can't find anything wrong, but then the car is new to me...

Thanks in advance...good to be back!

hi there,
first of all good choice on the v70. fantastic cars and great fun. with regards to the heated seats, do a search on here about them, you'll soon find you'll be glad you havent got them. mine hasnt and i was tempted to retro fit, till i read about all the ones bursting into flames! i quickly changed my mind thanks to the great info found on here.
with the mileage yours has done, i wouldnt be too worried bout anything going wrong just yet, with 38k on the clock shes not even run in yet.
happy motoring.
