Well i got a phonecall from Stedman on Sunday saying his insurer would not put his quote in writing and that was **the** reason he wouldnt be taking it any further.
I would rather someone just told me they were not interested or had other cars to look at, im a reasonable person and thought Richard and his Father were nice enough.
I however dont understand how you can walk away from one car that is group 18 on the basis that if you buy the car and the insurance co. wont play ball but on the very same day you can express a serious interest in essentially the same car that someone else is selling.
Draw your ownn conclusions.....
Still i guess the 30 minute test drive was fun...

Yeap it was the reason. Unfortunately my insurer decided to go back on their word. I spent nearly all the time on the phone to them on saturday and sunday to clarify why or anyway round this. I thought it was fair enough to call and explain. The only answer i really got was because it was an R. They have no problems with the T5 or T5R though?

I appreiciated your time and really was genuinely keen on the car however, i can not do much without insurance!

30minute test drive was good though, thanks. Hope its gone to a good owner.

Forgot a couple of things,

The car is taxed until August this year not Feb of next.

It's also had it's injectors refurbed and balanced by Jimathan.
New rotor arm, leads, plugs and dizzy cap, all genuine parts.
New fuel filter.
Rubber boot protector
New wishbones

There are a couple of flaws in the paint but they're only minor, however these will be rectified before sale.

The car does have some service history, I'll just have to dig it out, lol. It also comes with loads of old Mot's and a stack of reciepts.

As already mentiond I would take a V70R for this, also I would consider an S60 D5, dependant on spec.
