When I start the engine the idle speed is around 800rpm. As soon as it reaches say 40-45c the rpm slowly creep up and once it's at normal operating temp they sit at 1100rpm. I've replaced the coolant temp sensor (€46) but still no joy.
I've noticed if I load it, for instance, with the rear demister it will return to 850rpm. Or if I turn it off and restart it it will sit at 850rpm whilst the heater plug relay is engaged and then creep up to 1100rpm once disengaged. I don't want to adjust any of the factory settings on the pump or elsewhere for that matter. Any ideas what I should check? Is there an automatic choke on diesels?
