Default Quick earth question.

Morning all,

So long time Volvo owner but new to the xc90. Just changed the battery over to a proper one and cleaned the surplus acid out of the battery area.

While in there I noticed a lovely large bolt that screams "earth point" to me ...however it looks like the 90 has the earth routed to the front. Any reason I cannot pop a good thick lead from the negative post to the bolt ? I'm a strong believer in good earth's and have found it nips a lot of potential problems in the bud on other models.

Car is as sig ..xc90 2006 (55 plate) manual 2.4d. euro 4.

Thanks

Iain
