Default Brake line blocked before flexible hose... V40 D3 2013

I thought my caliper was jammed so I replaced the caliper with a new one. Only to find when I tried to bleed it, nothing came out! The flexible hose was very hard to remove from the caliper so I thought I may have crushed it while removing it causing a jam... So got a new hose but when I went to remove the hose from the brake line end, the brake line just fell apart! After looking more closely you can see the brake line is blocked with corrosion.

What I'm wondering now is, do I need to add a fresh part to the rotted brake line near the wheel or does it have a connection close by that I can replace?
