that's very decent of them to take back the alternator how did the code read go any other faults show on the scan ?

Hi Simmy. Only old codes related to me changing the Mapp sensor. The codes were cleared, then the car driven to generate the latest Power system service urgent' code again. Hence the latest alternator diagnosis

So the original alternator was reconditioned and fitted today...and low and behold the 'Power system service urgent' went out and stayed out. Success finally. 14.6 volts on tick over

I had that error, it was the alternator.
