Hi can someone tell me for volvo year, 2011 , s60 d3 160 hp diesel manual servicing engine is it expensive?
For changing all of the water pump timing belts and chains + labour
autorized dealer, how much cost parts + labour ?
Where i live i only have AD and i want to be sure that they do proper job.

“Bailey dog” another member was quoted £370 for his timing belt replacement, I would think that oils , filters and labour and providing nothing else needs replacing you could easily add a further £200 to that, then possibly the VAT at 20%.
I could be wildly wrong but would expect £550 minimum. Depends what you call expensive.

I had a quote for that service on a T4 of £695 a couple of years ago. Otherwise main dealer services aren’t too bad (there’s a price indicator on the Volvo website) and the breakdown cover included can mean it makes less sense to use an independent. The thing with Volvo is parts can be expensive if anything ever goes wrong with the car

Missing an oil change for 50,000 miles? Unless it’s dirt cheap I’d stay well clear

volvo parts are cheaper than ford and Citroen parts :-)

you wont need to change the water pump , that will save you £120

A dealer will do a good job , you wont get any car done on the cheap these days even from non volvo places. You get what you pay for ...

Car is d3 diesel around 160 hp and something manual gearbox with acc - distronic, it have some history but last service is before 2 years since then nothing,
also,
before that it had 50,000 miles without oil change,
it cost around 7000gbp
is it worth it its probably clocked what issues i can expect if buy it ?

Where i live volvo dealership so far have not offered me any service prices
also they told me these engines are not serviceble like water pump should never be changed etcs..
i guess car is more than 200, 000miles
or it can be 400,000miles.

Are you being pressured to buy it at gunpoint or something? Walk away if you have any doubts, there's always another car. You should be able to get one of these in the UK for around £5000

Mmmm

The fact that Volvos like the car you have seen are rare in Bulgaria suggests that not many garages in your country have the knowledge to service it properly. The authorized dealer would do it properly but on the other hand would charge as much as they want since they know that no-one else has the skill and knowledge.

That alone is a good reason to avoid this car, as well as no oil change for the last 50,000....that's a very long time indeed.

Everyone here can only see trouble, big trouble, with this particular car. Time for you to look for a different car.
