Default Turbo not working post EGR Valve cleaning!

Hi all, this is my first post so be gentle with me.

I bought my 54 V50 2.0D Just over a week ago with a suspected DPF problem (car was juddery and occasionally went in to limp mode). Having known that the previous owner had barely used the car in the last few months i just thought that it would soon clear itself with some high rev'd driving on the motorway, well it did work to an extent!

My problem now is, i have cleaned the throttle module......car was still the same! So yesterday i thought i would take the EGR Valve and pipe off and give it a clean. It wasnt that dirty but did have some soot build up and the pipe being slightly worse. Took the car for a drive and noticed that the juddering had stopped but unfortunately the turbo was non existent! Acceleration was very slow and non existent when driving uphill.

Have i broken the EGR? Or is something else causing my turbo not to work?

P.s the turbo worked fine before i decided to start cleaning things!

Many thanks in advance
Ade

Hi
I had similar loss of turbo after a service and found one of the vacuum pipes off. (Same engine) Could you have disturbed a vacuum pipe somewhere

Which pipes? Near the EGR or the small black rubber ones by the throttle module at front of engine? There is a tiny hole on one of the latter!

Would that tiny hole cause the turbo to stop working completely? I couldn't feel any air etc passing through it!

check & make sure you have plugged the electrical connectors back in for the MAF, if you havent you will get no turbo

or you may have damaged the maf sensor
