Default Fuel filters (TDI)

Does anyone know if Volvo used different designs for the under bonnet fuel filter on the TDI? mine looks nothing like the reference that keeps appearing (one with a bolt in the middle).

Filters are exactly the same on all flavours of tdi.
The pipe arrangement is different on the 99 and 00 model years.
Inside that is a metal canister which is the actual filter.
The part your seeing is just the filter holder.

Do you know how? It’s genuinely not a trick question as there are a few tricks to this job.

I’ve done plenty of fuel filters before, I am however open to any tips or advice relative to this model, I understand it’s very important to fill the filter before putting the new one on etc. do enlighten me 😀
