Default Can headlight DRL be turned off with DICE?

Can I turn off my 'normal' Volvo DRL with a DICE or should I pay the dealership a visit?

I remember that somebody mentioned that everything you do with your 'offline' DICE will be overwritten when you visit a dealership but I am not a regular visitor anyway.

No you can't turn DRL off with a cloned Dice/Vida, need to go to a dealer. Phone around because prices seem to vary a lot.

Might also be something you'd need to notify your insurance company about also as they are a safety feature., can I just ask why you would want to turn them off?

This is a kind of an old project of mine (here & here) which was not working out the way I wanted so I choose a different approach.

I've always thought that the implementation of DRL on pre 2010 C30s is an overkill (I can't remember the setup on my C70 T5 though)
But don't panic I'll have a DRL as I'll convert my foglamps as such

Didn't think using your fog lights as DLRs was legal?

That's the very reason I've asked as I'm on a holiday abroad and the dealer prices here are a steal - they'll switch if off for £20

Sorry, I see I have to choose my wording carefully

What I have meant is that I will use my foglamp holders to accommodate my DRL installation... Am I in the clear?

There is still a height problem, still not sure it's legal?

That would make all late plate V50's illegal as they have DRL's in place of the fog lights.

Just saw your signature. It's a bit ironic considering your last two comments
