Weirding module.

(Just been watching 1980's Dune so I might be biased)

Hi Dave,

Work interrupts today, but will try to see how to get a larger / better photo uploaded a bit later.

Hopefully this photo is a bit larger!!

Cheers
Steve

Apologies, tried uploading a larger file but seems it’s again come up as thumbnail.

It’s in the main fuel line going to pump/filter carrier, quite rusty and can’t see anything on parts diagram.

Can’t get car higher I’m afraid

Cheers
Steve

This wee beastie you mean?

Looks like a damper to "smooth out" the fuel pulses. Mine doesn't have that and i don't recall ever having one on any of my 740s although they were K-Jet but still used the same pump arrangements. If it's not leaking and not causing a problem, i wouldn't worry too much about it.

It's a damper intended to reduce fuel pump noise in the cabin. Part number 1389725 if you want a new one; and your wallet to be about £200 lighter.

My 1994 Wentworth had one, similarly rusty. I removed it in 2018 and replaced with a piece of generic 12mm ID fuel hose.

Previous discussion about it on here:
