6805 error again
Ok so I have had 6805 error for a few weeks now gone through everything this forum has mentioned
Checked intercooler (was split so replaced) Checked for vacuum leaks (front and rear engine mounts both leaking both replaced) Error still present So I tested everything stripped down turbo governor cleaned it and tested it all is ok replaced fuel filter Checked all sensors I get 6805 when cruising on bypass but if I accelerate slowly error disappears whilst error is on I have no boost Any help would be greatly appreciated |

changing fuel filter wont help you need to make sure housing isnt letting in air put clear tubing on high pressure pump and start it see if you have air..
visually check intercooler has it collapsed or leaking oil engine pads leaking x2? charge air hoses leaking turbo this iis what makes ecm 6805 come on regards |

With the fuel filter it was on a thread about checking for and fixing 6805 so just thought I would give it a shot.
Well last night I decided to remove the map sensor on the intercooler and give it a spray with electrical cleaner so far the error hasn't co.e on this morning on way to work, but I'm sure it will rear it's ugly head. Can anyone confirm how the map sensor fits as I noticed slight movement in map sensor as the screw is only on one side do I take of o-ring from map sensor and push map in then put on o-ring or does it just literally push on? Of my error is not fixed the next step is to get a look at the actuator on the turbo and see if it's free moving if not I'll get the turbo out and clean it. Also gonna get my kids smoke machine and hook it up to the intake and see if the pipes are leaking but as said before all vacuum is being held properly I was just hoping that someone knows the fix for this common issue on these cars |

If you have eliminated vacuum and turbo actuator problems then I'll bet the IGVs are stuck with carbon.
You could try an in-place clean (Revive, Innotec, Mr Muscle etc) but the only real solution is to remove and clean the turbo.

You should try searching first before asking a question like that. However try this for starters:
http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showpo...45&postcount=5 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ilZt2LyxFzU It is not an easy job. I have the same issue and am considering having someone else do it for me.
