I think your £2k suggestion is very reasonable, and that if you found someone that wanted it with those mods it would be fine, but the audience would be small…

I love my xc90 and have had it over 5 years and won’t sell it. My suggestion would maybe see if you can keep it and get a second car which is what I did.

If that is not practical then perhaps list it As is and hope someone loves it.

If no takers then look at returning to normal.

I like the fact it’s so clean but am not in market for a vehicle.

Thanks for message - Im going to try and keep it as long as possible - with ULEZ its costing me 100 pounds a month just to drive her in the weekends. I was hoping to get some interest on here. Where would be the best place to sell? Ebay?

Still didnt get round to selling this.

But overall I spent 5500 pound total running the car last year - fuel, insurances, mot, tax, ULEL, and maintenance. - I still felt it was cheaper than buying a new car. - Considering I only do 5000 miles a year and the car I want is way over priced due to the current climate.

Guess it wasn't quite the crank shaft seal after all - but the Camshaft seal leak. I should have got it looked at alot sooner because I got a major leak over the weekend and had to get the car recovered to my local garage - Luckily I received a low oil pressure message warning on my driveway just before I drove off- so no damage was done. I checked the dip stick and it was very low. Looked on the ground and behold lots of oil on the ground.
Luckily I wasn't on holiday at the time because it wouldn't have spoiled it.

Crank shaft seal replaced and no further leaks - Considering the oil went onto the timing belt - I couldn't risk the belt slipping so the belt was replaced. So I ended up replacing the Cambelt and Water Pump. It was sort of due - last changed was at 75k 9 years ago. Car now at 127k. So the next owner can be satisfied that the belt has been changed and its one less thing to worry about.

Sell or buy a new car? That is the question?

I think £2000 would be reasonable. Its a decent drive with no problems. Yes its aging well but at 127,000 miles for a Volvo's it nothing.
I know I need to sell it but i'm in no rush as I dont have a replacement car. - So happy to see what I can get for it.

To be honest the sentimental value of the car sale puts me off completely on selling it. - I was thinking about it most of the day today - only if I could give it to someone that would look after it and still be able to see it whenever I want. I know its sound crazy but I feel its part of the family.

Ive put it on Carwow yesterday on a dealership auction to get some feelers.

No doubt someone will make a offer and make some ££££ on parts but I rather it go to a decent home than get butchered for parts.

Received an offer for £850. Should I call a friend? Ask the audience? Or 50/50?

Or should I bite the bullet with the offer?

Sold - I let her go for £900 as I wasn't that greedy to make a high price. Hopefully it go to a good home.

Bummer -

Hi so sorry but our other car has just packed up and it's gonna cost a fair bit to get it back on the road so I won't be able to buy the car unfortunately, I've tried to cancel it on my end but it won't let me choose the option so is there anyway you can close it your end? Once again really sorry about this I'm really gutted you've done an amazing job with that car!

Listing back on - I dont think I will let it go for so low this time.
