Smile changing wheels

i have 185 r 14 90t tyres fitted to steel wheels on my 240 se estate i also have a set of virgo alloys fitted with 185 65 r15 tyres
would there be a problem if i removed the steel wheels and tyres and fitted the alloy wheels and tyres. iam told there may be a top end speed reduction also the speedo will not read true, is this the case

The tyre sizes you have given are not complete so the originals on the steel wheels need to be 185 ?? r14 to be sure of the profile/size of the tyre , the 90T refers to the load and speed ratring of the tyre not its actual dimensions.
If the originals are 185 65 r14 then the 185 65 r15 on the alloys will give a bigger wheel so the car will be going faster than the speedo shows (aprox 4%).
