Thats great thanks! As suspected i have made the end of the valance to the wrong shape!
I will have to reshape that then and make the other end the same as your very helpful and clear pictures. Thank you very much for taking the time out to get those for me. No progress on the Volvo this week as it was too cold! Where it is, is like sitting in a wind tunnel and the wind chill today was too much to bear i'm afraid! Spent the time tidying up the workshop a bit so i can now see a bit more of the floor!

Again, not a lot of progress to report and more rust found!
After seeing the pics posted up of the front panel i decided to remove mine completely (which was quite easy as both front wings were already unbolted!) and more rust was revealed! I knew there was a small hole under the battery tray and am glad the front is now off so i can do a proper repair and also tackle the rust along the seams! A few pictures below of the before and after i had tackled it with a wirebrush on the grinder and given it a coat of etch primer just to protect it until next saturday when i will cut out the rust and make good.

Yes, that certainly needed finding!
It looks as though the cross-beam joining the two chassis rails may be ok, just the radiator bracket on top needing to be replaced. Check the corners, where the vertical part of the chassis rail joins onto the back of that cross-beam (where the brake pipes are). My 164 needed repairing there. John |

I have been very slack in updating this thread! Sorry!
I have made a bit of progress but what with the weather and the MOT's on 2 of the daily drivers to deal with, its still not on the road! Below are a selection of pictures of progress since the last update. All the welding is now done and i have stonechipped where i removed the original to help protect it. All the calipers have now been overhauled and refitted with a new set of flexi hoses as the debris inside the calipers pointed to something not right with the old ones!! Also made up some new fixed lines for any that looked a bit suspect. Brakes bled and just one final bleed to do before putting on the wheels and getting her back to ground level. I have spent over £400 this week on the 145 so am very keen to get it back on the road where it belongs! Hoping to get it MOT'ed this month. You will see the main part of this weeks outlay in the pictures, my wheels! Had the rims blasted and powder coated silver and then 4 NEW tyres as it would have been criminal to fit secondhand one's to such shiny rims. The pictures were taken on my phone so don't do them justice at all.
