Hi there,

I had a similar problem on my 2002 V70 with the HU-803 head unit with separate amp. It is VERY hard to integrate the parrot kit with this or a similar setup as you will need to splice into the amplifier loom and mute the speakers that way. Also, there could be an issue with the muting relay in the parrot box struggling to switch a high power amps output off. I had to have the parrot fitted with a separate speaker in the passenger footwell and no radio mute. If I had thought about it I would have liked to tap it into the centre speaker on the dash. That must be a lot easier and certainly a lot less complex than making your own loom. When I got the car, every website I saw was "not for use with HU-803 pro logic system", so did not even attempt it. Assuming your new beast has a separate amp,I think you will have the same trouble.

Regards

Mat

Mine with the factory fitted kit - and it is superb - easy to use - easy to connect - easy to manage the lot.

For the time/hassle involved - get the Volvo kit and sell your parrot.
