XC70: Electrical - Volvo on Call Service Required

"Volvo on Call Service Required"

My car is a 2014 Volvo XC70 2014 D5.

The above message has just started and keeps appearing on my instrument panel. I understand it may be something to do with a faulty battery. Can anyone enlighten me and point me to a video of how to cure this annoying problem. Other help and advice will also be much appreciated.

Adding on to this seven week old post, I saw the same message on a 2015 V60 I test drove yesterday.
The booklet with the owner's manual offered no diagnosis.
What battery would be faulty?
