Default XC40 TYre Pressure Monitoring System

Has anyone experienced the TPMS being unable to set. I’m aware of how to do the set but it just never completes.

It has been an issue since I bought the car and the dealer just said the tyre pressures for each tyre need to be exact which I felt was ridiculous as you cannot expect that level of accuracy.

I don't rely on the system as I check them regularly but it annoys me that this function just doesn’t seem to work (on my car)

I had this issue on my old XC60 - the solution was to kick off the setting process and then take a longish steady drive. It seems to take an inordinate amount of time to do the calculation. A short local trip wouldnt do it for me.
