Default Alarm V70 TD

Hi, when I lock the car using the remote, the car locks but the lights don't flash and the alarm doesn't come on. When I unlock it the lights flash. How can I get it working again. Ian

I expect the switch one of the doors or the bonnet is not operating correctly.

Are any interior lights staying on? this may give you a clue which one.

I also suspect a faulty door switch or boot/bonnet.
My car sometimes does the same thing and its one of rear door locks that has a sticking internal switch, I'll get round to sorting it one day...

could be one of the door switches or one of the windows not fully up

Both catches on my bonnet locks have to be engaged for my alarm to arm itself and to flash to say its locked,it also flashes when i use the fob to unlock it,yours sounds like its not locking some where, the boot lock on mine can be a bit dodgy sometimes. It wont be serious it will be one of your locks, try lubication.

Hi, The interior lights do go off when pressing the button. I haven't found a doggy switch yet. Ian

Do the lights switch when you open and close the doors?

Also have a good look and poke around the bonnet latches and the boot/tailgate.

Do you mean the indicator lights?. if so, they flash when I open the car with the remote but not when I close the car with the remote.
