Bad maf?
Hi, ive been having problems with my XC60 D4/D3 2.0 120kw for some time with hesitation/jerking usually when pulling away from junctions and when changing from 1st-2nd gear. Ive just unplugged my MAF sensor and the car ran exactly the same if not a little better. I then plugged a code reader in and it came up with a MAF code, but im guessing thats because i unplugged it. I then plugged MAF back in and erased the code and took it for a drive then plugged code reader back in and there were no codes.
Now am i right in thinking that i should have noticed a vast difference when driving it with the MAF unplugged? but if it drove the same as when plugged in then the MAF is faulty? But if it is faulty then why did it show no fault codes when the MAF was plugged back in and had been driven for 5 minutes? Cheers for any advice. |
