Now this is strange I admit, but I used to have an Alfa 156 gta 3.2 v6, and now have a v70 d5. Sometimes on the motorway the v70 really reminds me of the gta! Not sure what it is, but something is very familiar.

The similarity soon vanishes when you reach a corner though!

The car is only 8 months old with 24k miles so should be as new really.

I don't do a lot of miles - about 15 motorway miles to work every day and about 10-12k miles a year total. As my mileage is low I have always had petrol engines in the past but have read about DPFs being a problem if you only do short trips. Is this something I should be worried about?

Thanks in advance

In a word buy a petrol far more suitable for what you wil be doing

Halfamp,I would agree with you but unfortunately petrol Ph3 cars are a very
rare breed. In fact only the mighty petrol guzzling T6 is the only new one listed.
A while ago I replaced my old 2001 2.4 petrol reluctantly with a deisel and must
confess that so far it's behaviour has been impeccable(see my earlier post).
It would be nice though not to be concerned with such mind blowingly
expensive things as DPFs, EGRs,DMFs, turbos, etc, etc.

That must be it!

No seriously, there is a similarity. If I can pin it down I'll let you know!
