Default V 50 stereo

Good afternoon, I have just joined & hope to be as much use to others as I can be but for the moment I have a couple of issues with my recent purchase of a v50 manual 1.6 D Drive ES 2011 vintage, here is the second one.

I have intermittent issues with FM reception & am intending to replace the sharks fin with a new one as I have also bought a DAB adaptor & will use the fin for that also.

My question is, can anyone tell me what plugs there are from the OE one so I could get the right ones on the replacement antenna?

Also, I assume the headlining needs to come out, but where are the other ends of the antenna leads, are they just to the antenna amplifier?

The final part is, where are the various parts, I assume the antenna amp is behind the headlining?

Many thanks for any help.

The shark fin is not the aerial for the radio. Look at the drivers side boot window.

You will see it has lines all through it. This is the aerial. On the inside at the top you will see a clip where the window joins the roof cover. Make sure this is attached properly? I had the same problem with poor reception and attaching this again solved the problem.

For the dab adapter I use a front screen aerial with the cabling hidden behind the glove box and up the passenger side a pillar.

Hope this helps?

Cheers

OK, thanks for the heads-up, I found the connector but can't seem to get it on/off.

If I don't need to replace the fin, then likely I will just get a DAB screen mounted film antenna.

Many thanks.
