Light on panel.

One of the 2 cars that are up for auction tomorrow has the I between the dials illuminated as in photo attached. It say above 'drivers door open' is that all it is referring to, or is there something more sinister going on? As in the other which again has the I illuminated but mentions the common 'alarm system service required'.

The photo shows the standard warning when the engine is running and the driver's door is open. The I lights up and you get that message. There may be other messages, but impossible to say from that photo alone.

Yes shutting door erased door open message, I still remained lit but no message showing.

If you push the button at the end of the indicator stalk it should show the next message. If no messages are shown, the next step would be to read them with an OBD scanner.
