Central Locking Problem on one door.
V70 D5 2007
Hi, got a bit of a problem. When locking the car the offside rear passenger door does not lock but all others do. The button moves down a fraction but not enough to lock it. Alarm and deadlock come on as normal. When the door has been locked by hand and I press unlock it unlocks fine with all the others. I feel it might be a weak soleniod but I'm having trouble working out how to get the door panel off to have a look. In the past I've had trouble with breaking interior trim so don't want to force anything. Also if I get at it and change the soleniod will it just be a straight swap or will I need to get it programmed to the car? Any guidance would be helpfull. Cheers Alex |

p.s. When I said deadlocks come on as normal I meant on the other doors. Door with the problem never locks itself.

Hello Mate. I jus got the same problem in my 2008 s80. driver side rear door are exactky like yours and You can see pin going down a bit and then doors are not locked. Will try to get a panel off when in a garage on sunday so might try to check if thats not any broken linkage or something easy to fix.

Found the problem... There is a rubber seal where the metal bit of pin goes in to lock. And that was sticky and hard when cold. Also pin itself was cathing a plastic surrounding cleared it and made a small cut in rubber to free up a door pinlock. As to stripping a door card. Easy: There is only one hex screw under handle cover(small square) an couple of white push in fittings. Mind to disconnect plugs for window switch and speakers plus door handle...Simples....

I'm having a similar problem on my drivers door, however it may not be the same problem. When using the button in the door handle to lock the car via the keyless entry, my drivers door doesn't always lock and the mirror doesn't fold in. Only happens on the drivers door regardless of which door I use to lock the car.
