Unhappy Thinking of Selling my 1989 340

Hi All
Just wondered if anyone would be interested in buying my beloved 340. Unfortunately, my husband isn't particularly fond of Volvo's and my 340 has been the cause of many 'differences of opinion' over the years, and if it was up to him it would've been scrapped a long time ago ! However, I've hung on thus far, but I can't fight any longer and I was hoping to find a fellow Volvo lover who would look after my baby ! I really don't want to have to sell on ebay !

The details are as follows:-
Dark Grey Volvo 340 3 door hatchback 1989 F reg, 86,400 miles. It's had new battery, new radiator, new water pump, refurbished carburettor and servicing every year. It flew through it's MOT every year. I had a problem with sediment from the petrol tank getting into the carburettor about 2 years ago, had a refurbished carburettor but problem persisted. It was then declared SORN for a year. However, I'm going to have the petrol tank and carburettor cleaned and the whole car retuned, etc, and put it through a new MOT. There are a few little age related bits, like window trims and a car park dent (which appeared while I was in Sainsbury's !), but it's basically sound and I'll be very sad to see it go.

Anyway, I'm in the Essex area, just outside London, so if anyone's interested I'd love to hear from you. (When it comes back from it's refurb and MOT I'll post some photos).

Bye for now !

Default There's an easier answer

The husband will have to be put up for sale.

Smile Thanks Guys !

Hi

Thanks for all the good wishes - and I might consider that suggestion !
If you know anyone who might be interested (in the car not the husband !) I'd be grateful if you'd pass on the details. Oh - and cross your fingers !

Sounds like a well cared for example! Stick it on volvo300mania.com/forum-uk I'm sure you'll get a buyer, although watch out as a lot of 340's tend to get smashed up at Essex Arena - which I guess you wouldn't want for a cherished example!
