940 or 240
Hello,I have ran 240 estates for some years paying around £300 a time. They have been truly amazing.
I need to get better fuel consumption and Have been offered a 1993 940 SE tubo diesel 138,000 miles immaculate condition with full history. It has memory seats and a lot of other gizzmos.Could one or more of you good people give me a brief overview of the 940 and its advantages. What fuel consumption could I realistically expect. The air con is not working what are the chances that it could be a quick and easy fix.The 940 is £1750 is that a fair price. Thank you and good luck Richard BRIGHTON |

940 diesels are indeed saught after but think of it this way.
the difference between the petrol 240 and diesel 940 is £1,450. You can buy a hell of a lot of fuel for £1,500 You have to be averaging a LOT of miles per year for a diesel to pay its way. Sit down and work out the figures. Everyone assumes a diesel will IMMEDIATLY save you money. This isnt the case at all
