Louder turn signal
Is there a way to increase the loudness of the turn signal ?
Does the clicking come from a relay or from a component on the DIM? Sometimes when driving along the blinkers have not auto. cancelled and I haven't heard the clicking. Jude

Louder Turn Signal
LOL - I am a wrinkley & have 2 hearing aids & my original hips!!
Where is the part/ component that makes the clicking sound? I think it was mentioned in the past that it is a circular blue component on the pcb of the DIM. Perhaps a relay that I could try a replacement. Serious replys from now on - please. Jude

Just an idea
This Video shows you where the bits are on the PCB TO YOUTUBE But personally unless you know what you are doing with PCB's etc, I wouldn't start messing with it, damage it and you can easily kill the car or far more important parts of the cluster. Another idea with far less risk get a couple of 12v buzzers maybe like these TO EBAY! Wire them into the side repeaters on the wings, I am not sure if they are part of the bulb warning system, if they are you would need to get creative with the wiring as adding them in would cause issues with that, find a couple suitable relays that can wire in to be triggered by the side repeater.

Relays are available from europarts ect for around £19.00. I don't know where it's located in your model though. I would assume that if yours is working then it should be making the ticking sound?
Perhaps you could download the manual as a start, but mine is as clear as mud! |

Spike, when you say download the manual, - what is the manual?
I have the wiring diagram for my car + the supplement.-- TP3964202 & TP3967202 My DIM has already been to Lukas to sort out a pixelated display on bottom left display window. Having watched the U tube video above, and will check out the blue clicker on the DIM Jude

Owners manual? Details where the fuses and relays are ( so how to access them). I've always assumed that the ticking sound comes from behind the dashboard though. But like everything Volvo it could be anywhere. I can hear the gear/brake lock switching on and off on mine. Never heard it on my S80...........
