HU-1205 not receiving any GPS signal

Hello all,

After recently buying a HU-1205 head unit I decided I would try and get the sat nav function working (yes, I know it's rubbish, out of date etc.!)

Anyway, I bought an aftermarket GPS antenna which is supposed to work with this unit, but I still just get the message "Receiving no GPS signal at the moment", at first I thought I may have mounted the antenna in a bad place under the dash, but even after moving it to sit on top of the dashboard there's no improvement.

So does anyone have any suggestions? I'm guessing that the aftermarket antenna is probably the culprit, but is there anything else I can try? Does anyone have a known working GPS antenna to sell?

Yes it's youre antenna

, you do realise you have to have the disc/discs aswell to get it up and running. Out of interest where did you buy youre antenna

I have got discs, I got the antenna from an Amazon seller HERE

Someone in Germany sells them on ebay

a bit more cash but they work

If it's this German eBay seller it appears to be exactly the same antenna as the one I got from Amazon (same manufacturer, frequency etc.)

No it was a different seller who I bought mine off it's still behind the dash to much hassle digging the thing out lol. I rammed it right up behind there
